Heat treatment — where the steel is heated below its transformation point, held at specific temperatures, then cooled slowly. This method alleviates internal stresses without changing hardness or other critical material properties.

Metalax® (vibratory stress relief) — using patented sub-harmonic vibrations to relieve thermal stresses, which avoids the side-effects of heat treatment like distortion, scaling, or altering mechanical properties. Faster to apply and useful especially for finished assemblies or materials sensitive to heat.
